NIA :will present a charge sheet in a Jammu court today for the Pahalgam terror incident
NIA: The charge sheet for the April 22 terror incident in Pahalgam would probably be submitted by the National Investigation Agency on Monday before the special NIA court in Jammu city, J&K.

According to NIA sources, the charge sheet is being filed at the designated court here since the 180-day statutory limit under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) that has been in effect since the first arrests is about to expire.
On June 22, over two months after terrorists massacred 25 tourists and a local pony owner in Baisaran meadow, two Pahalgam locals, Bashir Ahmad Jothar and Parvez Ahmad Jothar, were taken into custody.
Suleiman Shah, Hamza Afghani, also known as Afghani, and Jibran, three Pakistani terrorists who carried out the assault, are said to have been harbored and given logistical assistance by the two detained individuals. According to NIA sources, “the agency is filing the charge sheet before the court within the stipulated period today, and the 180-day deadline for filing the charge sheet ends on December 18.”
The court approved NIA’s request for an extra forty-five days to finish the investigation, in addition to the original ninety-day deadline.
The charge sheet is anticipated to include the names of terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and its proxy, The Resistance Front (TRF).
Union Home Minister Amit Shah had revealed in Parliament that LeT-affiliated terrorists operating in Pakistan were involved in the assault.
Pakistani contact details, which are thought to be essential in revealing the larger plot, were found on the phones of the detained suspects by the NIA during the inquiry. With help from the National Forensic Science University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, forensic analysis of the materials found on the deceased terrorists has also been completed, according to reports.
Over 1,000 people have been questioned by NIA so far, including visitors, pony owners, photographers, store owners, and staff.
According to sources, the NIA has told the court that in order to determine the whole scope of the terror network and the function of overground personnel, more forensic reports, mobile phone data analysis, and verification of other suspects are in progress.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed the Armed Forces carte blanche to exact revenge for the fatalities in the Pahalgam terror assault, which infuriated the whole country.
In Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, the Indian Armed Forces demolished nine terror facilities in Muridke near Lahore, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad as part of Operation Sindoor.
Until Pakistan worsened the situation by assaulting both military and civilian institutions, Indian troops did not strike any military installations.
The Indian Armed Forces retaliated by damaging 11 military locations in Pakistan without going across the border.
