Vijayawada: At Business Expo-2025, the state government displays an investment push

Vijayawada: Kolusu Parthasarathy, the minister of housing, public relations, and communication, said that the state is becoming one of the most investor-friendly locations in the nation and that businesspeople should take advantage of the favorable climate. The minister lit a candle to kick off the three-day AP Chambers Business Expo 2025, which is being organized by the Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry, at the SS Convention Hall here on Friday.

The expo has more than 150 booths from the banking, automotive, solar energy, food processing, tourist, textile, and construction industries. Parthasarathy went to the booths and spoke with the vendors. Participants in the program included senior authorities and executives from the sector.

Speaking at the event, the minister said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s “Speed of Business” will be ensured by granting all industrial licenses via the Single Window system within 21 days. He noted that the State was swiftly undergoing economic transition thanks to transparent government, imaginative leadership, and a strong policy environment.

Speaking of the state’s technical goals, Parthasarathy said that the establishment of the nation’s first quantum computer would be a groundbreaking development in the sector. According to him, AP is also the first state to use the Rs 1 lakh crore allotted by the Center for the development of quantum technology. He also said that the government wants to produce quantum computers domestically in addition to importing them.

According to Parthasarathy, the state undertook a significant change by introducing the Escrow Account system to guarantee the timely distribution of incentives to companies. No other state in India has done the same. He pointed out that this removes delays and boosts investor trust. In addition to sector-specific policies in food processing, electronics, IT, quantum, and infrastructure, he said the state government provides comprehensive industrial policies supported by a 972-kilometer coastline, lush terrain, and an abundance of people resources. He encouraged investors to look at the Nuzvid region’s prospects in food processing and tourism. P Krishnayya, the chairman of the AP Pollution Control Board, discussed measures to encourage industrial expansion while maintaining a pollution-free state, such as new recycling regulations and incentives for recycling facilities of up to 45%.

Tammireddy Siva Shankar Rao, chairman of the MSME Development Corporation, emphasized that MSMEs now function both locally and as a component of the global supply chain. Fodd Processing Society CEO Dr. Gaddam Sekhar Babu, CEO of MSME Corporation M Viswa, president of the AP Star Hotels Association R Veera Swamy, president of the AP Chambers of Commerce Bhaskara Rao, executive vice-president B Rajasekhar, secretary T H Subba Rao, treasurer S Akkaiah Naidu, and others attended the program.
