Cast, Post, OTT Release, and More for the Kalamkaval Film
In Kalamkaval, Mammootty plays Stanley Das, a terrible guy who preys on women. Through chapter-by-chapter glances into Das’s life, the narrative reveals his strategies and way of thinking. Vinayakan’s character, SI Jayakrishnan, starts looking into the killings as they rock the area. Das becomes bolder and more erratic the farther he goes. Unexpected turns, slow-burning tension, and an engrossing cat-and-mouse pursuit keep the story interesting. Vinayakan’s portrayal of the resolute police officer has also received praise, giving the film’s investigation scenes more nuance.
Gibin Gopinath, Gayatri Arun, Rajisha Vijayan, Shruti Ramachandran, Azees Nedumangad, Kunchan, Biju Pappan, and Malavika Menon are also part of the cast, in addition to Mammootty and Vinayakan. Kalamkaval is reportedly scheduled to debut on SonyLIV around four weeks following its theatrical premiere, around New Year’s 2026. Additionally, the movie is probably going to be released in a number of regional languages.
