Recruitment Exams – Protest Over Examination Concerns Draws Aspirants in Lucknow
Recruitment Exams – A large number of students and candidates preparing for government jobs gathered in Lucknow on Friday to voice their concerns over alleged irregularities in various competitive examinations. The demonstration was led by Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), with participants demanding accountability and calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Aspirants Gather at Eco Garden
From the early hours of the day, candidates preparing for teaching, medical, administrative, revenue, and several other public sector recruitment examinations assembled at Eco Garden. Protesters said they wanted greater transparency in the examination process and stronger measures to prevent alleged discrepancies in recruitment tests.
The gathering attracted students from different backgrounds who expressed concerns about the credibility of examinations that play a crucial role in government hiring. Participants maintained that fair and transparent assessments are essential for preserving trust among job seekers.
Part of a Wider National Campaign
The Lucknow demonstration is one of several protests being organized across the country by the Cockroach Janta Party. The campaign has already witnessed similar events in Delhi and Pune, where candidates and students raised comparable issues related to examination management and recruitment procedures.
Organizers stated that the objective of the movement is to highlight concerns being faced by aspirants and encourage authorities to address them through policy reforms and administrative action.
Police Clarify Permission Process
Law enforcement officials confirmed that the protest had received official approval after the necessary formalities were completed. According to Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Babloo Kumar, the request for permission was submitted by an individual rather than by any political or social organization.
Officials said the application was filed by a teacher, Vivek Kumar, late on Thursday evening. After reviewing the request and following the prescribed procedures, authorities granted permission for the event.
Police also rejected claims circulating in some quarters that the demonstration had been denied permission. Officials clarified that no application connected to the protest had been received before Thursday evening, making earlier reports inaccurate.
Security Arrangements in Place
Authorities stated that permission for the gathering was granted for a fixed duration between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Security personnel were deployed in and around the venue to ensure that the event proceeded without disruption.
Police estimates suggested that close to 1,000 people were expected to participate in the demonstration. Officials remained on-site to manage crowd movement and maintain law and order throughout the day.
Organizers Emphasize Peaceful Demonstration
Ahead of the protest, Abhijeet Dipke reiterated that the campaign would remain peaceful and operate within constitutional and democratic boundaries. He noted that earlier demonstrations in Delhi and Pune had also been conducted without any disturbances.
According to organizers, the aim is to provide a platform for students and job aspirants to express their concerns through lawful means. They said the movement seeks dialogue and reforms rather than confrontation.
More Events Planned Across India
The campaign is expected to continue in the coming days with additional demonstrations planned in Amritsar and Bengaluru. Organizers have also announced a larger gathering at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on June 20, where participants from different states are expected to join and raise issues related to examination processes and government recruitment systems.
