Visit to Historic Temple in Varanasi

The Kaal Bhairav Temple holds deep cultural and spiritual significance in Varanasi. Dedicated to Kaal Bhairav, a fierce form of Lord Shiva, the shrine is widely regarded as a symbol of protection for the city. Often referred to as the guardian deity of Kashi, Kaal Bhairav is believed by devotees to shield the city from harm and negative influences. Worshippers from across the country visit the temple with the belief that offering prayers here helps remove fear and brings a sense of security and peace.

Public Interaction Through Janata Darshan

Earlier in the week, the Chief Minister continued his routine engagement with citizens through the Janata Darshan programme. During this initiative, held at the Gorakhnath Temple premises, he met people from different districts who had gathered to present their grievances. The programme had also been organised earlier at his official residence in Lucknow.

Participants shared a wide range of concerns, including administrative issues and local development needs. The Chief Minister listened carefully and directed officials to take immediate action where required. The programme has become a regular feature of his governance approach, aimed at ensuring direct communication between the administration and the public.

Focus on Waste Management and Green Mobility

In another recent development, the Chief Minister flagged off a fleet of 250 eco-friendly vehicles in Lucknow. These vehicles, powered by electric and compressed natural gas technologies, have been introduced to improve waste collection and management in the city. The initiative is part of broader efforts to adopt environmentally sustainable solutions in urban governance.

Officials stated that the move is expected to enhance efficiency in handling municipal waste while reducing pollution levels. The deployment of such vehicles reflects a growing emphasis on cleaner energy alternatives in public services.

Emphasis on Urban Growth and Infrastructure

Addressing the gathering during the launch event, the Chief Minister highlighted the transformation of Lucknow over the past nine years. He pointed to the expansion of the city’s infrastructure, improvements in living standards, and the introduction of metro services as key milestones.

According to him, these developments have contributed to making the city more accessible and better equipped to handle the needs of its growing population. He also noted that ongoing projects are aimed at further strengthening urban facilities and ensuring long-term sustainability.

Push for Solar Energy and Sustainable Cities

The Chief Minister also spoke about the government’s efforts to promote renewable energy. He cited Ayodhya as an example of a city being developed with a strong focus on solar power and said that similar initiatives are underway in Lucknow.

He emphasised that integrating solar energy into urban planning is an important step toward reducing dependence on conventional power sources. The administration aims to expand such initiatives across the state in the coming years.

Strengthening Safety Through Technology

Highlighting improvements in urban safety, the Chief Minister referred to the installation of LED street lighting and the adoption of smart city technologies. He noted that better lighting infrastructure has contributed to improved security in urban areas.

The widespread installation of LED lights across municipal regions has not only enhanced visibility but also reduced energy consumption. Authorities believe that such measures play a key role in creating safer and more efficient urban environments.
