Western Ghats: IMD forecasts rain in the of Tennessee, with fog possible in some areas
Western Ghats: Due to the impact of many weather systems that are prevailing in the area, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in a few locations around the Western Ghats and portions of southern Tamil Nadu on Tuesday.

Off the coast of Kerala, an air circulation is now operating over the southeast Arabian Sea, according to the meteorological advisory. A third circulation has developed over the south coastal region of Andhra Pradesh and its surrounding territories, while another comparable system is seen over the southeast Bay of Bengal.
Certain parts of southern India are predicted to see sporadic rainfall due to the combined effects of these systems.
As a consequence, light to moderate rains are expected to occur at one or two locations throughout the day in districts around the Western Ghats and in portions of southern Tamil Nadu.
The remainder of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are predicted to have mostly dry weather, however some isolated areas may see mild fog or mist in the early morning or late at night.
The minimum temperatures in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal won’t significantly alter, according to the IMD. Minimum temperatures, however, can drop by two to three degrees Celsius below average in certain locations.
The night and early morning hours will probably continue to be cold, especially in inland areas.
The department has predicted that there may be minor frost or dew formation in the Nilgiris district and the Kodaikanal hill ranges of Dindigul district in the late evening or early morning hours. Clear sky and cooler temperatures at higher elevations make such circumstances prevalent around this time.
The weather in Chennai is predicted to be partly overcast all day. Light fog or mist may be present in the city in the early morning or late at night. It is anticipated that the low temperature will be between 21 and 22 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature will probably be between 29 and 30 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has cautioned locals, especially those living in low-lying and hilly areas, to be on the lookout for shifting weather patterns, especially in the early morning. Regular operations may be impacted by sporadic variations in temperature and visibility, therefore farmers and commuters have also been asked to be informed about local weather warnings.
