Addressing journalists in Kolkata, Ghosh claimed that incidents involving violence against women and alleged intimidation of opposition party workers have increased in recent months.
Allegations of Administrative Bias
Ghosh alleged that opposition activities in the state are being obstructed and that law enforcement agencies are not acting impartially. He stated that during political events organized by his party, police personnel have allegedly removed party flags and restricted gatherings. According to him, there is a growing perception among BJP supporters that local authorities are siding with ruling party affiliates.
He further claimed that certain communities are feeling vulnerable and that administrative inaction has contributed to unease in parts of the state. The BJP leader argued that the situation reflects a broader issue of governance and accountability.
Claims of Migration From Murshidabad
Highlighting what he described as a worrying trend, Ghosh said some Hindu families have allegedly moved from Murshidabad district to neighboring Malda district due to concerns about safety. He contended that these movements point to deeper tensions on the ground and urged authorities to address the matter transparently.
Ghosh called on members of the Hindu community to remain united and politically aware. He said that in his view, voters should support leadership that prioritizes their security and rights. Singh’s remarks, which included strong language about the importance of community solidarity, have drawn attention amid the intensifying campaign narrative.
