Sugali Preethi Case – Mother Files Complaint Against Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM

Sugali Preethi Case – Sugali Parvathi Devi, the mother of tribal student Sugali Preethi, submitted a complaint against Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan at the Gannavaram police station on Monday. The complaint relates to her allegations that assurances made to the family over the case have not been acted upon.

Allegations Raised in Police Complaint

Parvathi Devi alleged that Pawan Kalyan had referred to her daughter’s death during political campaigns but did not follow through on commitments made after the election. She asked police to examine whether the statements and assurances given to the family amounted to cheating, breach of trust and misleading public claims.

According to her complaint, she had expected renewed action in the case after Pawan Kalyan became Deputy Chief Minister. She said he had earlier promised that his first official decision would be connected to securing justice for her daughter.

The complaint does not establish the allegations, and police have not announced any case against the Deputy Chief Minister in connection with the representation.

Family Seeks Review of Investigation

Sugali Preethi’s death has remained a matter of concern for her family, which has repeatedly sought further scrutiny of the investigation. Parvathi Devi said she had approached political leaders and officials on several occasions in search of answers.

She alleged that instead of receiving assistance, she faced criticism and intimidation from some leaders and supporters associated with the Jana Sena Party. Her complaint urged authorities to look into these concerns and take action in accordance with the law.

Parvathi Devi also appealed directly to the Deputy Chief Minister to intervene and help ensure that the case receives a fair review. She maintained that the family continues to seek accountability and clarity over the circumstances surrounding Preethi’s death.

Police Say Legal Opinion Will Guide Next Steps

Krishna district Superintendent of Police Vasana Vidyasagar Naidu said the complaint would be examined by the police. He said further action would depend on the legal opinion received after reviewing the contents of the representation.

Officials have not provided a timeline for completing the review. There was no immediate public response from Pawan Kalyan or the Jana Sena Party regarding the allegations made in the complaint.

The development has brought renewed attention to the Sugali Preethi case, which has previously figured in political discussions in Andhra Pradesh. Any decision on the complaint will be taken after the police complete their preliminary examination and receive legal advice, officials said.
