Over its planned operational life of 25 years, the project is projected to achieve a cumulative power generation of nearly 3,230 million units. According to Bhupender Gupta, the successful completion of the Dhubri project was made possible due to strong support from the Assam government and strategic guidance at the national level. He acknowledged the vision of Narendra Modi, who virtually laid the foundation stone of the project on March 4, 2024.
