NEET – Delhi Ensures Smooth Exam Experience With Extensive Student Support
NEET – The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted without major disruptions across Delhi on Sunday, with thousands of students appearing for one of the country’s most important medical entrance examinations. Special facilities introduced by the Delhi government received a positive response from both candidates and their family members, helping ease several challenges associated with examination day.

Special Measures Introduced Across Examination Centres
To support students and their parents, the Delhi government implemented a range of arrangements at examination venues throughout the city. Officials stated that these initiatives were designed to ensure a comfortable and stress-free environment for candidates traveling to their respective centres.
According to government estimates, nearly 45,000 students and accompanying parents made use of the facilities provided during the examination. The measures focused on transportation assistance, heat relief, and basic welfare services.
Free Transport Facility Benefits Students
One of the key initiatives was the provision of free travel on Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses for NEET candidates. Students were allowed to access the service by presenting their valid examination admit cards.
Many candidates welcomed the move, saying it helped eliminate transportation concerns on an important day. The facility enabled students to reach examination centres more conveniently and focus their attention on the test rather than travel-related difficulties.
Cooling Zones Set Up to Tackle Summer Heat
To address the intense weather conditions, cooling zones were established outside all 97 examination centres across Delhi. These designated areas were created primarily for parents and guardians who had to wait for several hours while candidates appeared for the examination.
The cooling zones included seating arrangements and access to clean drinking water. Additional refreshments such as ORS solutions, shikanji, and tea were also made available. First-aid services were kept on standby to assist anyone requiring medical attention during the waiting period.
Parents visiting the centres said the facilities significantly improved their overall experience and provided relief from the heat.
Chief Minister Reviews Public Feedback
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the feedback received from students and families indicated that the arrangements proved beneficial throughout the day. She noted that the government had taken a broader approach by extending support not only to examination candidates but also to their accompanying family members.
The Chief Minister stated that reducing stress and inconvenience for students was a priority, especially during a crucial examination that plays an important role in shaping future academic and professional opportunities.
Coordination Between Departments Praised
Gupta also acknowledged the contribution of various government departments involved in planning and executing the arrangements. She said coordinated efforts across departments helped ensure that services were available at all designated centres and that candidates faced minimal difficulties on examination day.
Officials maintained that the initiatives reflected a commitment to providing better support systems during large-scale competitive examinations. The successful implementation of transport and comfort facilities was viewed as a step toward improving the overall examination experience for students and parents alike.
