Missing Case – Mumbai Family Alleges Abduction Linked to Personal Dispute
Missing Case – A 27-year-old man from Mumbai’s Shivajinagar locality has been missing for several days, prompting police to launch an investigation after his family raised fears of abduction and possible murder connected to a personal dispute.

A complaint has been filed at the Shivajinagar Police, where officials have begun examining the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Aurangzeb Samiruddin Shaikh.
Family Reports Sudden Disappearance
According to the complaint, Aurangzeb’s elder brother, Gurabbir Ragiruddin Shaikh, informed police that the 27-year-old had been unreachable for the past three days. His mobile phone has remained switched off since he was last seen, increasing concern among relatives.
The family, which currently lives in rented accommodation in Mumbai Central, had earlier registered a missing person report after repeated attempts to contact Aurangzeb failed.
Alleged Personal Conflict Under Investigation
In his statement to investigators, Gurabbir claimed that tensions had existed for some time due to allegations involving Aurangzeb and the wife of his elder brother Wasim. The woman, identified as Simmi Shaikh, was allegedly at the center of an ongoing dispute between Aurangzeb and Simmi’s brother, Avesh.
Police have been told that disagreements connected to the alleged relationship had caused friction within the extended family over the past several months.
Sources cited in the complaint stated that Wasim and his wife are presently staying in their native village in Bihar.
Disturbing Phone Call Raises Fear
The complaint further states that on May 5, Wasim allegedly contacted the family and informed them that Avesh had taken Aurangzeb away on some pretext. Shortly afterward, the family reportedly received another call in which Avesh allegedly claimed that Aurangzeb had been killed and his body disposed of.
The statement caused panic among relatives, who immediately began searching for the missing man in several areas, including Shivajinagar, Govandi and Mankhurd, along with nearby relatives’ homes.
Previous Threats Allegedly Issued
Family members have also alleged that Aurangzeb had earlier received threats connected to the dispute. According to the complaint, Wasim had warned his younger brother to remain alert after learning about the alleged threats made against him.
Relatives told investigators that Aurangzeb did not consider the warnings serious at the time.
The complainant further alleged that the family has recently faced intimidation and threats after approaching police authorities regarding the matter.
Police Continue Search Operation
Based on the allegations, investigators suspect that Aurangzeb may have been forcibly taken from the Shivajinagar-Govandi area on May 4 at around 3 pm. The complaint claims that Avesh and several unidentified associates were involved in the alleged abduction.
Police officials have registered a case and initiated further inquiry into the disappearance. Authorities are currently verifying phone records, statements from family members and other available evidence as part of the investigation.
No arrests have been officially confirmed so far, and police have not yet recovered any evidence establishing the whereabouts of the missing man.
Officials said the investigation remains active and all angles connected to the case are being examined carefully.
