Gujarat CM- Attends Temple Ceremony and Promotes Education Initiatives
Gujarat CM- Bhupendra Patel continued his public outreach by participating in religious and educational events across Ahmedabad, highlighting the state’s focus on cultural heritage and quality education.

Temple Ceremony Marks New Spiritual Milestone
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated Shri Nitya-Shanti Bhavan in Ahmedabad on Saturday, marking another important addition to the city’s religious and community infrastructure. During the event, he also joined the Pratishtha Mahotsav of Lord Shri Munisuvrat Swami at a newly built temple, where he took part in the consecration rituals and offered prayers. The ceremony was attended by devotees and community members who gathered to celebrate the inauguration of the temple complex.
Government Highlights Education Achievements
Earlier this week, the Chief Minister spoke about the continued success of the Kanya Kelavani and Shala Praveshotsav campaign, an initiative introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2003. Patel noted that what began as a government programme has gradually transformed into a public movement, supported by parents, teachers, village communities, and local administrations working together to improve school participation across Gujarat.
Focus on Universal School Enrolment
Addressing the third day of the 24th Shala Praveshotsav and Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav 2026, Patel welcomed newly admitted students at Pimpan and Sanand Model School in Ahmedabad district. The campaign aims to strengthen educational standards while ensuring every eligible child is enrolled in school. According to the Chief Minister, Gujarat has successfully achieved full school enrolment through sustained efforts over the years.
He also stated that the government remains committed to identifying children who have left school before completing their education. Officials continue to counsel families and encourage students to return to classrooms so they can continue their studies without interruption. Patel urged parents to place equal importance on their children’s education and long-term future alongside financial well-being.
New Students Receive Warm Welcome
Sanand Model School recorded the admission of 209 students during the programme. Among them, 142 students joined Class 9, while 50 students enrolled in Class 11 under the General Stream. An additional 17 students secured admission to the Science Stream in Class 11.
To mark the occasion, the Chief Minister, accompanied by other dignitaries, distributed educational kits to the newly admitted students. The event served as an official welcome for the children as they began the next phase of their academic journey.
Education and Community Development Remain Key Priorities
The Chief Minister’s participation in both the religious ceremony and educational programme reflected the state’s emphasis on preserving cultural traditions while continuing to strengthen access to education. Gujarat’s ongoing initiatives aim to encourage community participation, improve educational outcomes, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to pursue quality learning in a supportive environment.
