Support for Students from Low-Income Families

The scholarship programme aimed to reduce financial pressure on families struggling to meet education-related expenses. The assistance was provided to students from underprivileged backgrounds, with organisers stating that such support can help children continue their schooling without interruption.

Speaking at the event, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said educational assistance plays an important role in improving opportunities for children from financially weaker sections. He urged students to use the support responsibly and remain committed to their academic goals.

Reference to P-4 Welfare Initiative

The MLA referred to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s P-4 initiative, which encourages financially stable individuals and organisations to extend support to families facing economic hardship. He said the programme promotes public participation in welfare activities and helps bring community resources to people who need them most.

Bonda noted that more donors are coming forward to adopt poor families and assist them through education, healthcare and other welfare measures. He appreciated the efforts of the Gorthi Prasad Education Trust and Gorthi Chakravarthi for contributing to the education of students in the area.

Government Focus on School Education

Highlighting the State Government’s education programmes, the MLA said government school students are being provided essential learning and school-related materials. These include uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, school bags, shoes and belts, along with nutritious mid-day meals.

He said these measures are intended to ensure that children from all sections of society can attend school with the necessary support. According to him, improving access to education remains a key priority for the government, particularly for students from families with limited financial resources.

Message to Scholarship Recipients

Bonda encouraged the students to stay focused on their education and make full use of the opportunities available to them. He said education can help young people improve their future prospects and bring positive change to their families.

He also assured the students that the government, elected representatives and voluntary organisations would continue supporting welfare and education-related initiatives. The MLA wished the scholarship recipients success in their studies and urged them to work towards achieving their academic ambitions.
