FIR Registered After Woman Files Complaint
According to police officials, a formal complaint was filed at the Civil Lines police station, leading to the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) on Wednesday evening. Station in-charge Yogendra Singh Parihar confirmed that a police team was immediately dispatched to locate the accused at his residence. However, by the time officers arrived, he had already left the premises.
Authorities later traced his suspected location to Jabalpur, and efforts are ongoing to bring him into custody for questioning and further legal proceedings.
Long-Term Contact Between Accused and Complainant
Preliminary findings suggest that the complainant, who is employed at a private bank in Jabalpur, had known the accused for several years. Their acquaintance reportedly developed into a personal relationship over time.
In her statement, the woman alleged that the accused repeatedly assured her of marriage, which led to a physical relationship. She now claims that he has withdrawn from those promises and is no longer willing to marry her.
Allegations of Impending Marriage to Another Woman
Adding another dimension to the case, the complainant has stated that the accused is preparing to marry someone else. According to her claims, the wedding is scheduled for April 20, with a traditional pre-wedding ceremony set to take place on April 16.
Police officials have acknowledged this aspect of the complaint and are verifying the details as part of their ongoing investigation.
