Trump : threatens to take “very strong action” against Iran if protestors are hanged
Trump : In response to allegations of mass fatalities during anti-government demonstrations, US President Donald Trump has escalated his rhetoric and threatened to take “very strong action” against Iran if its officials start hanging protestors.

In a Tuesday exclusive interview with CBS News, Trump said that he had not yet verified rumors that Iran intended to put protesters to death but made it plain that the US would intervene decisively if such a move were to take place.
Trump said, “I haven’t heard about the hanging.” You will see some items if they hang them. We will act with great vigor.
Trump was questioned over his previous internet statement that “help is on the way” for Iran. He emphasized that Washington would not provide Tehran financial support, but he did say that help will come “in different forms.”
Trump said, “We’re not going to help Iran very much,” adding that Iran’s nuclear capabilities has already been neutralized.
He said, “We put Iran out of business with their nuclear capacity,” asserting that the operation was over quickly after US aircraft arrived at their targets.
Trump stated the exact number was still unknown when pressed about allegations that thousands of demonstrators had been slain. He said that “nobody’s been able to give us accurate numbers,” but that if the fatalities were verified, it would cause “a lot of problems for them.”
Trump said that the situation was still evolving when asked whether Iran had broken a US red line, but he did issue a warning that mass murder would not be accepted.
“Winning is the ultimate goal,” he said. “I like winning. We’re winning, too.
Trump used the deaths of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as well as US conduct against Venezuela, to draw comparisons between the Iran situation and previous US foreign policy.
Trump claimed that US measures had avoided further turmoil, saying, “We’ve been right about everything.”
In addition, the president defended his overall foreign policy record, claiming to have “ended eight wars” and claiming that further wars would have harmed the US strategically and economically.
Trump said, “You can’t be forgetting about bad threats.” “It is impossible to overlook the possibility of Iran possessing nuclear weapons.”
Trump emphasized domestic economic development while preserving international peace, claiming that turmoil abroad would eventually hurt American interests.
International rights organizations have reported widespread arrests and fatalities during Iran’s ongoing demonstrations over economic circumstances and political persecution. Tensions have often increased over Iran’s nuclear program and regional operations, and the US and Iran have not maintained official diplomatic connections for decades.
