Deadly Attack in Memon Goth

The most serious incident occurred in the Memon Goth area, where two men were shot dead and a woman sustained injuries. Police officials said both men suffered fatal bullet wounds to the head. The injured woman was later found in bushes near a private housing society located off the Super Highway.

In her preliminary statement to investigators, the woman said that two unidentified men opened fire and fled the scene immediately after the attack. Law enforcement personnel collected several 9mm pistol casings from the site, along with empty alcohol bottles. Authorities have not yet determined the motive behind the shooting and say further investigation is underway.

Youth Critically Wounded During Robbery Attempt

In another incident, a young man identified as Huzaifa was critically injured after being shot in the stomach while reportedly resisting a robbery attempt. Witnesses said nearby residents reacted swiftly, intercepting the fleeing suspects. The crowd assaulted the alleged robbers before handing them over to the police.

Huzaifa was shifted to a hospital, where doctors described his condition as critical. Police have taken the detained suspects into custody and are examining the circumstances surrounding the attempted robbery.

Three Injured in Delhi Colony Firing

Separately, three individuals were injured in a firing incident in Delhi Colony. Details regarding the sequence of events remain limited, but officials confirmed that all injured persons were transported to medical facilities for treatment. Investigators are reviewing evidence and recording statements to establish the facts.

Police authorities stated that inquiries into all four shooting cases are ongoing. Forensic teams are analyzing recovered evidence, and efforts are being made to identify and apprehend any remaining suspects.

Swat Clash Leaves One Dead, Several Hurt

In a separate development earlier this week, violence erupted in the Shana Karpa Haji Abad area of Swat following a dispute among children that escalated into a broader confrontation. One person was killed and seven others were injured during the clash.

The deceased was identified as Advocate Attaullah Jan. The injured individuals were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they continue to receive medical treatment. Police have initiated an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage that captured parts of the altercation.

Lahore High Court Seeks Reports on Basant Incidents

Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court has sought detailed reports from the Punjab Home Secretary and the Capital City Police Officer while hearing a petition concerning deaths and injuries linked to Basant celebrations.

The case was heard by a bench headed by Justice Awais Khalid on a petition filed by Advocate Azhar Siddique. According to the petition, official data submitted by the Punjab Home Department recorded six deaths during the festival. It further claimed that more than 100 people sustained injuries, raising concerns about public safety despite official assurances regarding secure celebrations.
