Epstein documents: A picture of President Donald Trump from the most recent batch of Jeffrey Epstein files was uploaded by the US Department of Justice, claiming that it did not show any Epstein victims.

In order to protect victims, the Southern District of New York had highlighted the photograph, and the DOJ had temporarily withdrawn it for examination.

“An photograph of President Trump was highlighted by the Southern District of New York for possible further victim protection measures. The photograph was taken down for further assessment by the Department of Justice out of concern. The picture has been uploaded without any modification or redaction, and the review concluded that there is no proof that any Epstein victims are seen in it,” DOJ said in an X post.

CNN had said that as of Sunday AM (local time), at least 16 of the files that were made public in the Jeffrey Epstein document batch seemed to have been taken down from the website.

CNN said on Saturday that a picture of US President Donald Trump was among the files deleted. Most of the files, along with others that seem to have been deleted, featured a tiled corridor, mail slots full with envelopes, a notebook page with names and apartment numbers, and sexual artwork.

The DOJ said in a news statement that it is dedicated to openness and only redacting what is necessary by law. The legislation requires the Department to redact sensitive material and identifiable information about the victims, children, or prospective victims.

The DOJ said in the release that no redactions have been or would be made to shield well-known people or those who are politically vulnerable.

The Department of Justice has received requests to delete specific information from people who claim to be victims and their attorneys. After being briefly withdrawn for inspection, the content is re-released with the necessary redactions if required by law.
