As to Sergio Gor, the Special Envoy to South and Central Asia and the US Ambassador to India, Shavkat Mirziyoyev referred to President Trump as the “President of peace to the world.”

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Donald Trump had a conversation earlier today. According to @president_uz, “President Trump is the President of Peace to the World.” I completely agree! “The world is a better place and innumerable conflicts have ended under President Trump’s leadership,” Sergio Gor said on X.

Trump’s assertion of ending eight conflicts is echoed by the US Ambassador’s statement.

On X, the press office for President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said, “Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Donald Trump spoke over the phone and exchanged warm wishes for the approaching New Year’s festivities. The establishment of the US-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council was highlighted, and the parties reaffirmed their willingness to maintain active contacts at all levels while discussing the status of their joint agreements and projects.

Sergio Gor will be the US co-chair of the recently formed US-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council, according to a press release from the US Embassy in Uzbekistan. This is a significant step toward promoting an America First economic agenda in Central Asia and opening up new opportunities for US workers, innovators, and businesses.

Along with Saida Mirziyoyeva, the head of Uzbekistan’s presidential administration, Ambassador Gor will spearhead US participation in this council. “His position demonstrates President Trump’s dedication to bolstering America’s economic dominance, increasing access for American businesses, and guaranteeing that international collaborations yield tangible advantages for the American people,” the news release said.

The Council will concentrate on opening high-growth industries, particularly IT and digital innovation, and increasing US and Uzbekistani investment and export prospects.

Additionally, President Mirziyoyev recently traveled to Washington for the C5+1 Summit from November 4-6.
