Following Naveed Akram’s video court appearance on Monday from a Sydney hospital, the police statement of facts was released.

According to ABC, the statement claims that on December 14, the 24-year-old and his father, 50-year-old Sajid Akram, tossed four homemade explosives toward a throng attending a Jewish celebration at Bondi Beach, but they failed to detonate.

A copy of the statement was not immediately available from the New South Wales court media office.

The father was shot dead by police at the site, while the son was injured.

Last week, the son was accused with 59 felonies, including one terrorist act and fifteen murder charges.
