Sunny Deol: considers patriotism and believes that Generation Z is dedicated to defending the country

Sunny Deol: an actor, has spoken about his feelings on patriotism and his faith in the next generation.

The “Jaat” actor commended Generation Z at the teaser launch ceremony for “Border 2,” emphasizing their capacity to preserve the nation’s history and defend it, just as earlier generations have done. In response to a question about his own definition of patriotism, Sunny offered his sincere viewpoint, highlighting the role Gen Z would play in continuing the tradition of defending and respecting the country.

“The nation is our mother, and today’s youth view it as their mother,” he said. And just like their dads and great-grandfathers did, they will defend it. Even today’s youngsters, I believe, will follow suit. No matter what you label it—Gen Z, for example—it is still a kid.

While giving one of his most famous lines from the movie, Sunny Deol broke down in tears as he spoke to the crowd. He said the stirring words, “Awaaz kahan tak jaani chahiye? “Lahore tak,” he said, his eyes welling up with intense passion. Sunny made his first public appearance after the death of his father, the renowned actor Dharmendra, at this ceremony as well.

The much anticipated teaser for “Border 2” was released by the film’s creators during a lavish ceremony in Mumbai on the occasion of Vijay Diwas. The main cast of the movie, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, attended the star-studded event.

Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh play the main parts in this Anurag Singh-directed war drama, while Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Angad Singh, Guneet Sandhu, and Paramvir Cheema play supporting parts. The next military drama is a follow-up to “Border,” which was inspired on the 1971 India-Pakistan military’s Battle of Longewala.

“Border 2,” which draws inspiration from the 1971 Indo-Pak War, will be released in theaters on January 23, 2026.
