Focus on Acting Over Appearance

Speaking during a brief interaction at Lakme Fashion Week 2026, Siddhant addressed questions about style and the pressure celebrities often face to maintain a strong fashion presence. He explained that his journey into the film industry was driven by a desire to act, not to become a fashion icon. For him, landing opportunities as an actor has always been the most meaningful achievement.

He noted that while fashion is an unavoidable part of the entertainment industry, especially through films and public appearances, it does not define his professional identity. According to him, costumes and styling are largely shaped by the demands of a project rather than personal effort to stay on trend.

Perspective on Personal Style

Elaborating on his views, Siddhant offered a simple take on what makes someone truly stylish. He believes that confidence and authenticity play a bigger role than carefully curated outfits. In his opinion, individuals who do not overthink their appearance often come across as more naturally fashionable.

He added that excessive effort to fit into trends can sometimes dilute a person’s individuality. Instead, he feels that a relaxed and genuine attitude allows personality to shine through, which ultimately becomes the defining factor of one’s style.

Social Media and Public Scrutiny

The actor also acknowledged how the rise of social media has intensified scrutiny around celebrity appearances. With constant online visibility, actors are frequently judged not only for their performances but also for their fashion choices.

Despite this environment, Siddhant maintained that he does not feel compelled to constantly match evolving fashion standards. He suggested that staying grounded and focused on one’s core purpose helps in navigating such pressures without losing direction.

Career Journey and Recognition

Siddhant Chaturvedi began his Bollywood career with the 2019 film “Gully Boy,” where his portrayal of MC Sher earned widespread appreciation from both critics and audiences. The role marked a strong debut and established him as a promising talent in the industry.

Following this, he appeared in films such as “Bunty Aur Babli 2” and “Phone Bhoot,” exploring a variety of roles. His performance in “Gehraiyaan” (2022), which featured Deepika Padukone, also received positive reviews, further strengthening his position in Bollywood.

Recent and Upcoming Projects

Most recently, Siddhant was seen in “Do Deewane Sheher Mein,” where he starred alongside Mrunal Thakur. The film added another dimension to his growing filmography.

Looking ahead, the actor is preparing for a significant upcoming project in which he will portray renowned filmmaker V. Shantaram. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, also features Tamannaah Bhatia and is expected to release in 2026. The project is being seen as an ambitious step in his career, given the legacy associated with the character he will be playing.

Balancing Image and Craft

Through his remarks, Siddhant highlighted a broader conversation within the entertainment industry about balancing image and substance. While fashion remains an integral part of celebrity culture, he emphasised that it should not overshadow the importance of performance and storytelling.

His approach reflects a conscious effort to remain focused on acting while embracing the external aspects of the industry without letting them define his identity.
