Anupam Kher: “Have reached only interval point of my life,” says as he starts production on his 550th film, “Khosla Ka Ghosla 2.”
Anupam Kher: Legendary actor Anupam Kher has began production on his 550th film, ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’. He thanked viewers and the film industry for their unwavering support, calling the achievement the “interval point” of his life and career.

On social media, Kher shared his views regarding a conversation he had at the Cannes Film Festival last year with a foreign director who nicknamed him the “marathon man of Indian cinema” after discovering how many movies he has been in. The actor added that as he thought back on his career in film, the comment stuck with him.”So you’re Indian cinema’s Marathon Man!” When I told an international director at the #CannesFilmFestival last year how many movies I had appeared in, he said Therefore, my heart is overflowing with gratitude and thankfulness as I begin my 550th film, #KhoslaKaGhosla2,” Kher said on his Instagram account.
Kher said that when he landed in Mumbai, which is sometimes referred to as the city of dreams, on June 3, 1981, he never dreamed of attaining such a milestone. He said that when he was ready to make his debut in Delhi for Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, starting his 550th movie filled him with appreciation and thanks.I never would have imagined that I would achieve this LANDMARK of 550 films when I arrived in Mumbai, the city of dreams, on June 3, 1981. But now that I’m in Delhi, I’m prepared to try my hand at KKG2,” he remarked.
The actor emphasized that he feels he has just reached the halfway point of his career and that he still has a lot more to contribute. He noted that aspirations have no expiration date and acknowledged his optimism, tenacity and strong work ethic as the key attributes that have sustained him over the years. “Just so you know, I really feel like I have a lot to offer and a lot to accomplish! Only the ‘interval point’ of my life and career has arrived! Dreams never go out of style! “My greatest strengths have been my ability to work hard, my optimism, and my never-give-up attitude,” he said.
Kher also expressed gratitude to the audiences, co-actors, directors, producers, and technicians, stating that without their help, his lengthy career in film would not have been possible. He thanked the audience from the bottom of his heart, saying that it would not have been possible to accomplish the 550 film milestone without their support.However, the support I received from all of my producers, directors, co-actors, technicians, and most importantly, YOU, my audiences, has made it possible for me to survive for all these years! It would never have been able to attain this milestone without your help,” his message says.
The actor expressed thanks and optimism as he wrapped off his speech, reiterating his resolve to work with the same fervor and devotion in the years to come. “Jai Ho, you have my sincere gratitude! Jai Hind! Om Namah Shivay! “#MarathonMan #GodIsKind,” he said in closing.
