Pune Murder Case – Police Intensify Investigation as Accused Face Joint Interrogation
Pune Murder Case – The investigation into the alleged murder of businessman Ketan Agarwal has entered a crucial stage as Pune Police continue to gather evidence and question the accused. Officers are examining every possible lead to determine the sequence of events surrounding the case, which initially appeared to be an accidental death before investigators began treating it as a suspected murder.

Joint Interrogation Conducted by Investigators
Police officials questioned accused Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary together after seating them face-to-face during interrogation. According to officials, the questioning continued until late at night as investigators attempted to verify statements and identify inconsistencies. Both accused remain in seven-day police custody while the investigation progresses.
Authorities believe the incident was not accidental and are examining evidence suggesting that the crime may have been planned in advance. Investigators are working to establish the exact roles of each accused and gather supporting material for the case.
Worker Brought in for Questioning
The investigation has also expanded to include Neeraj Kumar, an employee who had reportedly worked at Chetan Chaudhary’s dry fruit business for nearly three years. Police detained Kumar for questioning regarding his possible connection to the case.
According to investigators, Chaudhary allegedly used Kumar’s mobile phone on June 18, the day the crime is believed to have taken place, while visiting Lohagad Fort. Police suspect that the device may have been used to communicate with Siya Goyal multiple times, making it an important part of the ongoing investigation.
Family of Accused Rejects Allegations
Members of Chetan Chaudhary’s family have strongly denied the accusations against him. His father, Babulal Chaudhary, told reporters that the family had no prior knowledge of Siya Goyal and claimed his son had been wrongly implicated in the case.
He stated that they first became aware of Goyal through media reports and later saw her at the police station. Earlier, another relative, Udaram Chaudhary, also maintained that Chetan was innocent and insisted the family had no connection with Goyal before the case came to light.
Victim’s Family Seeks Swift Justice
Ketan Agarwal’s father, Vishal Agarwal, has expressed confidence in the judicial process and called for strict punishment for everyone found responsible. He said he believes the courts will ensure justice and hoped that those involved would receive severe punishment at the earliest so the family could find some measure of peace.
The statement reflects the family’s expectation that the investigation will uncover all those connected to the alleged conspiracy and hold them accountable under the law.
Wedding Plans End in Tragedy
Ketan Agarwal, the son of a well-known Maharashtra businessman, became engaged to Siya Goyal in February. Their families were reportedly preparing for an elaborate wedding scheduled for November, with plans said to include luxury venues and private aircraft arrangements.
Investigators allege that during this period, Goyal had developed a relationship with Chetan Chaudhary after meeting him at a business event in 2025. Police claim Chaudhary considered Agarwal an obstacle to their relationship and suspect that the two later conspired to eliminate him. Authorities continue to examine digital evidence, witness statements and other material as the investigation moves forward.
