WeatherUpdate –  Residents across Andhra Pradesh are expected to experience contrasting weather conditions over the next few days, with some districts likely to receive rainfall and thunderstorms, while several other areas may continue to face intense heat. Weather System Influencing State Conditions

According to officials, a trough extending from the central Bay of Bengal and passing through Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana is currently impacting weather activity across the state. This system is expected to create favorable conditions for cloud formation and scattered rainfall in several districts over the coming days.

The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) stated that weather conditions will vary significantly from one region to another. While certain districts may witness rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, others are likely to continue experiencing high daytime temperatures.

Rainfall Expected in Several Districts

On Thursday, light to moderate rainfall is forecast in parts of Markapuram and the Rayalaseema region. Meteorological assessments also indicate the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and occasional gusty winds in these areas.

In addition, isolated showers are likely across several districts, including Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR), Polavaram, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Prakasam, and Nellore. Authorities have advised residents to remain alert during thunderstorm activity and avoid unnecessary exposure in open areas when lightning occurs.

Heatwave Conditions Continue in Some Areas

Even as rainfall activity develops in parts of the state, temperatures are expected to remain high in several districts. Forecasts suggest that maximum temperatures could reach between 41°C and 42°C in parts of Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, ASR, Kakinada, Konaseema, and East Godavari districts.

Such temperatures are considered significantly above normal for many locations and may increase the risk of heat-related discomfort, particularly during afternoon hours. People are encouraged to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during periods of peak heat.

Western Districts Also Likely to Remain Hot

The weather outlook indicates that Polavaram and West Godavari districts may record temperatures ranging between 40°C and 41°C. Although these areas could receive isolated rainfall, daytime heat is expected to remain noticeable.

Officials continue to monitor developments closely and have urged the public to follow local weather updates. The combination of thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds, and elevated temperatures means conditions could change quickly depending on local atmospheric activity.

Advisory for Residents

Authorities recommend taking necessary precautions against both severe heat and thunderstorm-related risks. Residents should keep track of official forecasts, stay indoors during lightning events when possible, and ensure adequate water intake during hot weather conditions.

With rainfall expected in some regions and heatwave-like conditions persisting in others, Andhra Pradesh is set to witness a diverse weather pattern over the next three days, requiring caution and preparedness from residents across the state.
