Disappearance Sparks Immediate Search Effort

According to police, the girl went missing around 4 pm on March 24 from Siddhant Nagar in the Tajganj area. Her family quickly informed authorities, prompting an urgent response. Multiple teams were formed to locate the child, and officers began scanning surveillance footage from nearby locations.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Ali Abbas stated that eight separate teams were assigned to the case. CCTV recordings showed the girl entering the locality, but there was no footage of her leaving, which deepened suspicions about her whereabouts within the same area.

Suspicion Leads Police to Rented Room

As the search intensified, attention turned toward a rented room within the same premises where the victim lived. The room belonged to a man identified as Sunil, who had been staying there for nearly a year.

Police officials decided to break open the locked room after finding the circumstances unusual. During the search, they discovered the girl’s body hidden inside a flour container. The shocking discovery has sent waves of grief and anger through the local community.

Local Residents Express Anger

The incident triggered strong reactions from residents of the area. Soon after the news spread, locals gathered to protest and demanded swift justice. Many expressed concern about safety, especially for children, and called for stricter monitoring of tenants and residential areas.

A neighbour revealed that the accused had been working at the victim’s family-owned shoe factory and was known to the household. She added that he initially joined others in searching for the missing girl but later locked his room and disappeared, which raised suspicion among residents.

Community Demands Accountability

The case has once again highlighted the importance of vigilance and community awareness. Residents have urged authorities to implement stricter background verification processes for tenants and workers. They have also called for improved surveillance systems to prevent such incidents in the future.

Police have appealed to the public to remain calm while the investigation continues and assured that every effort is being made to ensure justice for the victim and her family.
