Worli : A heartbreaking road accident in Mumbai’s Worli area led to the death of an 18-year-old youth after he was run over by a city bus on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Adnan Ijaz Sheikh, a college student who was also working part-time to support his family.

The fatal accident took place at around 7:15 pm near Rakhangi Chowk on Dr. E. Moses Road, close to the Christian Cemetery crematorium in Worli. This stretch of road is known for heavy traffic during evening hours, with buses, two-wheelers, and pedestrians sharing limited space. According to preliminary information, a public transport bus struck Adnan’s motorcycle while he was returning home from work.

Adnan belonged to a modest household struggling with financial challenges. His mother, Laxmi Yellappa Golhar, also known as Adiba Ejaz Sheikh, works as a domestic help and currently resides in the Gandhinagar area of Worli. She had entered into a love marriage in 2006 and chose to retain her original name in official records, as she continued to follow her traditional customs.
As the eldest son, Adnan understood the financial pressures faced by his family at a young age. Despite being only 18, he took responsibility seriously and balanced his education with work. His untimely death has left the family emotionally shattered and financially uncertain.
