Big B: Agastya Nanda, grandson, wowed him in “Ikkis”: flawless in every frame
Big B: When Megastar Amitabh Bachchan saw his grandson Agastya Nanda on screen in the forthcoming military movie “Ikkis,” he was overcome with pride and passion, describing his performance as “perfection in every shot.”

Before sharing a thought-provoking message, Amitabh started by looking over old family photos of his mother, Teji Bachchan as a youngster, together with her older sister Govind Maasi ji, her British nanny, and her father, Sardar Khazan Singh Suri.
“Ma.. with me maybe a couple of years old.. Ma.. with my Nana ji Sardar Khazan Singh Suri, on the right in white sari, and with her, her British nanny, on the left Govind Maasi ji her elder sister..(sic)” is what he stated on his blog.
In addition, he remembered a previous picture taken before to her marriage and times spent with his mother after coming home from the hospital after the 1982 Coolie tragedy.
“Ma… an earlier image, I suppose, before marriage… when I came home to Prateeksha from Breach Candy after Coolie’s mishap. Now only nice recollections (sic).
Amitabh described the emotional rush he had when seeing his grandson Agastya do well on TV, relating those memories to the present.
He recounted how, only hours after the baby was born, Agastya’s mother, Shweta, was taken to the hospital during her last labor pains, hugging the infant and even questioning if the baby’s eyes were blue.
“Emotions come and go. As you see the grandson succeed in IKKIS tonight, you’ll see his mother, Shweta, being taken to Breach Candy Hospital due to her last labor pains, his delivery, her cuddling him only a few hours later, and the conversation over whether or not his eyes were blue.
The icon followed the route to the current day, from those sensitive times to Agastya growing up, playing with his beard in his arms, and ultimately deciding to pursue a career in acting.
“To the moment he grew a little and I held him as he fiddled with my beard, to his development, to his ultimate personal choice to become an actor. Additionally, I can’t keep my eyes off him every time he fills the frames of the movie tonight.
The megastar said that he was unable to look away from the television whenever his grandson appeared when he was watching Agastya play Param Vir Chakra awardee Arun Khetarpal in Ikkis.
Agastya’s maturity, honesty, and moderation were praised by Big B, who said there was “nothing frill or froth” in the performance.
“His maturity, his unvarnished honesty in his performance, his presence justifying the character he portrays… nothing frith or froth, just the Arun Khetarpal soldier, who fought in his bravery as the 21-year-old, defending the nation during the India-Pak war of 1971…(sic)”
“There is nothing over the top, simply the excellence in every picture. You just watch him while he is in the frame. And this isn’t a grandpa talking; this is a seasoned moviegoer.
Additionally, he said that the film’s narrative, directing, and presentation were all perfect.
“And the movie’s presentation, screenplay, and direction are all perfect. And when it’s over, the eyes well up with pride and happiness, and they can’t even talk. In stillness, the silence that is my, my comprehension, and no one else’s (sic).
