Border 2: Ahan Shetty discusses going through military training and the demanding action scenes in
Border 2: For his part in Ahan Shetty has spoken candidly about going through intense military training and putting on exhausting action scenes.

He said that filming at NDA Khadakwasla in Pune was both physically taxing and profoundly transformational in an exclusive chat with IANS. “Shooting at NDA Khadakwasla in Pune wasn’t just about capturing authentic visuals – it changed how I approached the entire role,” Ahan told us in reference to training at actual military sites. Where actual police train is where you are trained. You can’t fake anything in that setting. Your posture, body language, and level of intensity must all reflect the genuineness of the setting.
“My routine remained the same whether I was in Mumbai, Pune, Amritsar, or Khopoli. Strength training sessions, sports like football and cricket for cardiac endurance and agility, and a rigorous recuperation regimen that includes saunas, steam rooms, ice baths, and red light treatment are all non-negotiable. Recovery was just as important as the actual exercise; it was not optional. Your body must recover and function reliably while you’re filming tough action scenes every day.
“Shooting at actual military installations brought real physical challenges,” the “Tadap” actor said. The physical challenges of tactical sequences, real terrain, and weather are all factors you must contend with. When you’re doing combat maneuvers in 40-degree heat or working in tactical gear for 12-hour shoot days, your strength training and athletic cardio-endurance all come together.
Ahan Shetty will be seen as a Navy commander in “Border 2.” The actor appeared in a combat zone with bloodstains on his face and a steely resolve in his eyes in the first-look poster released by the film’s creators. He held a tank gun and seemed ready for action.
Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa are also featured in the next military drama, which is directed by Anurag Singh. The movie, which is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, is scheduled to open in theaters on January 23, 2026.
