UP: A car-truck accident in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, claimed six lives
UP: Barabanki In the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, a terrible traffic accident near Bishunpur town on the Deva-Fatehpur route claimed six lives and critically wounded two more.

On Monday night, an Ertiga automobile that was allegedly missing its license plate crashed head-on with a fast truck. Onlookers panicked as the automobile was crushed due to the force of the crash.
Drivers Shrikant Shukla and Pradeep Soni, his wife Madhuri Soni, and their son Nitin—all of whom lived in Fatehpur town—have been identified as the dead. One of the dead has not been identified. Naimish, Pradeep Soni’s younger son, and an unnamed individual have been identified as the wounded. After having a sacred plunge in the Ganges at Bithoor in Kanpur, all of the Ertiga’s passengers were making their way back home.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Arpit Vijayvargiya and District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi arrived at the scene of the accident after obtaining information. The wounded were rescued by police and taken by ambulance to the district hospital. The victims eventually received extensive care at the Lucknow Trauma Centre due to their serious condition.
According to SP Arpit Vijayvargiya, initial inquiries indicate that speeding was the cause of the collision.
It has been established that six persons have died. After both cars were removed with the assistance of a crane, the severe traffic bottleneck that resulted from the collision was eventually resolved, he added.
Prior to being transferred to the Lucknow Trauma Center, the wounded were treated at the nearby Community Health Center (CHC), according to Chief Medical Officer Awadhesh Kumar Yadav.
“There were eight passengers in the car,” SP Vijayvargiya said. Two people are hurt, and five men and one lady have perished. At the time of the accident, the passengers were returning to Fatehpur after renting the vehicle for an out-of-town vacation. The truck driver is presently running away, and the corpses have been transported for post-mortem testing.
Witnesses said that the vehicle was traveling at a very high pace. According to reports, the driver lost control after noticing the approaching vehicle, which led to the tragic collision. The vehicle has now been seized by the police.
