Chief Minister Addresses Dharm Sabha in Songal

Speaking at the Dharm Sabha organised as part of a religious programme, the Chief Minister said he felt honoured to attend the gathering and receive blessings from the saints present at the site. He described the moment as significant, noting that such a large congregation of religious figures and followers had assembled in the village after many years.

According to Yogi Adityanath, Songal has long been associated with spiritual traditions that have influenced people across generations. He said the land has maintained its religious identity through different historical periods and continues to inspire devotion among followers.

Emphasis on Spiritual and Cultural Traditions

During his address, the Chief Minister underlined the importance of preserving India’s spiritual legacy. He said gatherings where saints and devotees come together help strengthen religious values and offer guidance to society.

He noted that spiritual assemblies often encourage individuals to follow a path rooted in faith, service and discipline. According to him, the presence of saints at such events also provides an opportunity for people to connect with centuries-old traditions that remain relevant in modern times.

Events That Bring Communities Together

Yogi Adityanath also pointed out that religious programmes of this nature create opportunities for people from different regions to come together. He said such gatherings promote a sense of unity and harmony among devotees who share common spiritual beliefs.

The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the organisers and local residents who arranged the Dharm Sabha and the community meal. He said the successful organisation of the event demonstrated the dedication of devotees and the continued importance of religious traditions in society.

Religious Discourses and Community Feast

The programme in Songal included spiritual discussions led by saints and religious leaders, where teachings related to faith and values were shared with attendees. Devotees participated in prayers and listened to discourses that reflected on spiritual principles and cultural heritage.

A community feast, traditionally known as a Bhandara, was also organised during the event. Large numbers of devotees gathered to share meals and take part in the collective activities, reflecting the inclusive spirit often associated with such religious gatherings.

During the programme, the Chief Minister paid his respects to the saints present and acknowledged their role in guiding society through spiritual teachings. He reiterated that preserving India’s diverse religious traditions remains important for maintaining cultural continuity.

Earlier Development Event in Lucknow

A day before the Songal event, Yogi Adityanath participated in a development programme in Lucknow alongside Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The two leaders inaugurated two completed phases of the city’s Green Corridor project, a major infrastructure initiative aimed at improving traffic flow in the state capital.

The project covers a total length of around 28 kilometres and is designed to ease congestion by connecting key routes across the city. During the programme, the foundation stone for the remaining phases of the corridor was also laid.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Chief Minister said the project represents an effort to implement the development vision associated with former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He added that the state government is working under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to bring infrastructure improvements to the region.

Officials believe that once completed, the corridor will significantly enhance urban mobility in Lucknow and support the city’s growing transportation needs.
