Lucknow: Heavy fog delays important flights and trains and disrupts air and rail traffic

Lucknow: On Monday, December 15, the city saw heavy fog, which seriously disrupted Lucknow commuters. Low visibility caused a major delay on many trains and aircraft.

IndiGo airline’s Delhi-Lucknow flight 6E 2107 is scheduled to leave at 11:05 am instead of 8:30 am, while Air India flight AI 2499 from Delhi to Lucknow is scheduled to depart at 9 am instead of 6 am. At 9:20 am, flight 6E 523, which was supposed to leave Lucknow for Hyderabad at 7:15 am, actually took off.

In a similar vein, Air India flight AI 2500 to Delhi left at 10:45 a.m. rather than 8 a.m. Flight 6E 6902 to Patna was rescheduled from 10:30 am to 12:45 pm, flight IX 189 to Riyadh from 9 am to 11 am, and flight IX 1027 to Mumbai from 9:25 am to 10:25 am.

Additionally, a number of trains arrived late, such as the Begumpura Express, which was delayed by an hour, and the Lucknow Mail, which was delayed by thirty minutes from New Delhi. The Kota Patna Express (13238) was three hours and thirty minutes late.

The 13010 Doon Express was one hour and one minute late, while the 12430 AC Express, 12232 Chandigarh Superfast, 15012 Chandigarh Lucknow Junction Express, and 13308 Ganga Sutlej Express were all one hour and forty-five minutes late.
