After the HC ruling, Yuzvendra Chahal makes fun of his ex-wife Dhanashree for paying Rs 4 Cr in alimony, saying, “Maa Kasam Khao”

Yuzvendra Chahal, a cricket player, is in the center of a social media tempest once more, but this time it has nothing to do with cricket. A Delhi High Court verdict seems to have been referenced in the Indian leg-spinner’s latest Instagram post, which has led to a lot of conjecture that he made a subtle jab at his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma.

A court ruling that said, “Financially independent wives cannot demand alimony from their husbands,” was screenshotted by Chahal. He also wrote, “Maa Kasam Khao Nahi Paltoge iss Decision Seh,” which means, “Make a vow to your mother that you won’t change your mind.” Despite being removed soon after, the tweet went viral almost away, with followers arguing about whether Dhanashree was the target or whether it was just his way of supporting the court’s position.

Months After Divorce, the Post

Months after his highly publicized split with influencer and choreographer Dhanashree Verma, Chahal made this post. Prior to their breakup in March of this year after proceedings at the Bombay High Court, the pair, who were married in December 2020, were among cricket’s most popular couples. Although neither side formally verified the amount, reports at the time indicated a settlement of around Rs 4 crore.

The date of Chahal’s narrative and the purported alimony talks were immediately linked by fans, rekindling the conversation over their well-publicized split. The tweet was seen to as a “savage move” by several social media users, while others encouraged the cricket player to “move on gracefully.”

It’s interesting to note that the post went viral at the same time Chahal and former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan starred in a humorous film. In their Instagram collaboration with influencer Sophie Shine, Dhawan made fun of Chahal by saying, “Teri bhi shaadi karva denge beta,” which made the spinner seem ashamed.

“Ek baar phir se dulha banne ka mann hai beta” is the caption for the entertaining video. tu ruk ja thoda,” which went viral right away, received recognition for their friendship and comedic timing. Chahal’s comedy, both on and off the field, continues to captivate fans despite the social media craziness surrounding his personal life.
