Temperatures in the higher regions of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are now very cold, with lows of 0 to 5 degrees Celsius. The arrival of a fresh western disturbance is predicted to deliver light rain or snowfall between December 17 and 18, according to the most recent IMD advisory.

Rain warnings have also been issued by the Meteorological Department for southern states, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Weather Update for North India
A severe cold wave has prompted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue an orange advisory for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, and southern Uttar Pradesh. In several areas of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana, dense fog is expected to last.

Throughout the area, transport and daily life have been affected by dense fog and a cold wave. Due to the very poor visibility, the weather service has warned all travelers to exercise caution.

Weather Forecast for Delhi and Uttar Pradesh
With mostly clear sky and mild fog expected in the morning, the meteorological service has not issued any weather warnings for the nation’s capital. In addition to daytime temperatures of around 23 degrees Celsius and nighttime lows of 9 to 10 degrees Celsius, residents could anticipate thin fog in the morning.

In southern Uttar Pradesh, a continuous cold wave has prompted the Meteorological Department to issue an orange warning. To prevent disruption, authorities have encouraged locals to exercise caution and adhere to official weather reports.

Snowfall In Himachal Pradesh’s Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are still experiencing a severe cold wave, with temperatures in several high-altitude areas dropping to 0 to 5 degrees Celsius. The weather is expected to be dry on December 17, with fog in various areas of the area.

Due to the entrance of a western disturbance, there will be light rain or snowfall in the higher regions of Himachal Pradesh from December 17–18 and in Jammu and Kashmir from December 20 to 21.

Weather Update for South India
