Uttarakhand Will Accelerate Tourism Projects: The Uttarakhand government has proposed major infrastructural improvements to handle the increasing number of pilgrims and increase border tourism. In order to accommodate the growing number of devotees, a new footbridge will soon be built at the well-known Kainchi Dham in the Nainital area. Additionally, as part of the Vibrant town initiative, a festival field will be created in the border town of Jadung (Uttarkashi district).

High-Level Review Conference

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan presided over a review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday, which focused on these judgments. The status of development projects at many state tourism and pilgrimage sites was the main topic of discussion during the conference.

Important Instructions Issued

The projects at Kainchi Dham, Jageshwar Dham, Mahasu Devta, Jadung, Mana, Niti, and Timmarsain Mahadev were examined by Chief Secretary Bardhan. The following directives were given, with a total budget of Rs 228 crore set out for these developments:

Accelerated Completion: Authorities were instructed to expedite current construction projects at Jadung and Kainchi Dham. The Chief Secretary underlined that in order to achieve deadlines, the number of workers should be raised if required.

Project Monitoring: To make sure that projects are finished on time, ongoing monitoring is necessary.

Timeline Charts: For every project, a thorough chart that specifies the beginning and ending dates of each phase must be created.

Land Acquisition: In order to avoid delays, the land transfer and acquisition procedure for these projects has to be accelerated.

Officials in Attendance

Senior officials, including Additional Secretary Abhishek Ruhela, Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal, and Tourism Secretary Dheeraj Singh Garbyal, attended the meeting.
