Earlier, Dhami also shared his wishes for Vikram Samvat 2083, expressing optimism about the year bringing good health, prosperity, and renewed energy to people’s lives. He noted that the new year should pave the way for enhanced development and improved living standards across Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to ensuring growth and well-being, stating that efforts would continue to uplift every section of society. His message focused on inclusive progress and the importance of maintaining harmony while pursuing development goals.

Cabinet expansion discussions gather pace

Alongside the festive celebrations, political activity in the state has intensified with discussions around a possible expansion of the Chief Minister’s cabinet. At present, five ministerial positions remain unfilled, prompting deliberations within both the government and the party organization.

Sources indicate that the performance of Members of the Legislative Assembly is being carefully reviewed as part of the selection process for potential inclusion in the cabinet. The evaluation aims to identify candidates who can contribute effectively to governance and administration.

Possible appointments under consideration

In addition to cabinet expansion, there are indications that more than two dozen party leaders may be assigned roles as Daitvadhari, positions that carry responsibilities similar to Ministers of State. These appointments are expected to strengthen administrative efficiency and provide broader representation within the governance framework.

Discussions regarding these changes have reportedly involved consultations with the party’s national leadership. Several rounds of meetings have already taken place to finalize the structure and ensure alignment between the government and the organization.

Decision expected during Navratri period

According to sources familiar with the developments, the groundwork for both cabinet expansion and Daitvadhari appointments is nearing completion. Once final approvals are secured, an official announcement could be made during the ongoing Navratri period.

The timing is seen as significant, aligning administrative decisions with a period traditionally associated with new beginnings and positive change.
