Traffic – Night Restrictions Announced on DND Flyway for Maintenance
Traffic – The Gautam Budh Nagar Police has announced temporary traffic restrictions on the DND Flyway, with vehicular movement set to be regulated during late-night hours for nearly a month due to scheduled repair work.

According to the advisory, commuters using the key corridor between Noida and Delhi should expect diversions and controlled movement from February 22 to March 18. The restrictions will remain in place daily between 11 pm and 6 am, a window chosen to minimize disruption during peak travel hours.
Maintenance Schedule and Timings
The repair and resurfacing work is being undertaken by Noida Toll Bridge Co Ltd, the agency responsible for operating and maintaining the stretch. Officials said the decision to carry out the work overnight was made to reduce inconvenience to daily commuters who rely on the route for office travel and intercity movement.
During the maintenance period, certain sections of the flyway will experience partial closures, leading to planned diversions. Authorities have clarified that the measures are temporary and necessary to ensure smoother and safer travel conditions in the long run.
Diversion Plan for Noida to Delhi Traffic
Traffic heading from Noida towards Delhi via the flyway will be redirected at designated points. Vehicles approaching from the Mahamaya side and intending to access the flyway will be guided to continue straight from Dalit Prerna Sthal towards Chilla. From there, commuters can proceed onward to their respective destinations in Delhi.
Police officials have urged drivers to follow on-ground signage and instructions from traffic personnel deployed along the diversion routes. They emphasized that cooperation from motorists will be crucial to maintaining order and preventing congestion during the restricted hours.
Alternate Route for Sector-16 and Rajnigandha Commuters
Motorists coming from Rajnigandha and Sector-16 areas towards the DND Toll and planning to travel to Delhi will face a slightly modified route. Instead of entering directly, these vehicles will be required to take a U-turn near the toll plaza. From there, they will move through the Chilla route before continuing their journey.
Authorities indicated that traffic marshals will be stationed at key intersections to guide drivers and manage the expected flow of vehicles. Commuters are advised to factor in additional travel time, particularly during the initial days of the advisory when adjustments to the new routes may take time.
Advisory for Daily Commuters
The police have recommended that regular users of the corridor plan their journeys in advance and consider alternative routes where feasible. Cab operators, commercial vehicle drivers, and office commuters have also been asked to stay updated through official traffic advisories.
The DND Flyway serves as a crucial link between Delhi and Noida, handling a significant volume of daily traffic. Periodic maintenance is considered essential to preserve road quality and ensure commuter safety. Officials have reassured the public that the work is being carried out in phases to limit inconvenience.
While the restrictions are confined to nighttime hours, residents and frequent travelers are encouraged to remain alert to changing traffic patterns throughout the maintenance period. The advisory will remain effective until March 18, after which normal traffic movement is expected to resume, subject to completion of the repair work.
