Telangana Gram Panchayat Election: Final Phase Voting Is Underway, Counting Will Begin at 2:00 PM

Telangana Gram Panchayat Election: In Telangana, voting for the third and final round of gram panchayat elections started on Wednesday. Voting will end at 1 pm, having started at 7 am. At 2:00 PM, the counting starts.

According to authorities, there are 12,652 Sarpanch candidates running, and 75,725 are running for ward member positions.

There are 36,483 polling places where up to 5.3 million electors may cast ballots in the election.

There will be elections in 28,410 wards and 3,752 gram panchayats.

Up to 394 sarpanches and 7,908 ward members were unanimously chosen from the 4,159 gram panchayats and 36,452 wards that received election notifications in the final round. To guarantee a calm election, security measures are in place.

Election participation was 84.28 percent in the first round on December 11 and 85.86 percent in the second phase on December 14. On November 25, the Telangana State Election Commission said that the gram panchayat elections will take place in three phases on December 11, 14, and 17.
