Tamil Nadu: As part of its pre-election mobilization, the DMK will host a significant women’s convention in Tiruppur today
Tamil Nadu: In anticipation of the next Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) will host a sizable women’s conference in Palladam in the Tiruppur district on Monday.
Nearly 1.5 lakh people from 39 Assembly seats spread across 13 party districts are anticipated to attend the event, which is centered on women’s welfare and empowerment.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is expected to give a special speech at the conference, which will be chaired by DMK Deputy General Secretary Kanimozhi.

To guarantee the participants’ comfort and safety, special facilities have been set up. These include of medical camps, fire safety units, nursing mothers’ quarters, more than 350 mobile restrooms, and a continuous supply of drinking water.
Additionally, plans have been made for three meals a day. Over 4,000 cars may be parked in the enormous lot that has been put up across the 150-acre arena.
Cultural acts such folk music, silambam martial arts, and parai drumming will be included in the program.
To enhance the event’s visual attractiveness, Chief Minister Stalin will also be escorted to the location by a two-wheeler rally with more than 100 motorbikes.
Banners and visual displays showcasing the DMK government’s major welfare programs, including as free bus transportation for women, the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai monthly aid program, working women’s hostels, and other social security measures, are shown around the arena. The Dravidian movement’s ideological development and history are also chronicled in exhibits.
Chief Minister Stalin said in a social media post that the Palladam conference will address future obligations and duties in addition to showcasing the accomplishments of the DMK administration.
The party’s emphasis on bolstering women’s support before the Assembly elections, he said, might be reinforced by the announcement of new projects targeted at improving women’s welfare.
