Investigation Uncovers Extensive Digital Evidence

According to officials associated with the inquiry, law enforcement agencies have retrieved a large volume of digital material from Kharat’s electronic devices, including laptops and mobile phones. Investigators say more than 200 video files have been collected so far. These findings are part of an ongoing probe into serious allegations that Kharat exploited over 150 women who were reportedly among his followers.

The case has drawn significant public attention due to the scale of the accusations and the profile of individuals whose names have emerged during the investigation.

Call Records Highlight Frequent Political Contacts

Data obtained from call detail records shows that Kharat was in regular communication with several politicians. Among those identified are Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, BJP leader Chandrakant Patil, and former State Women Commission chairperson Rupali Chakankar, along with other senior figures.

The records indicate that Chakankar was among the most frequent callers. She reportedly contacted Kharat 177 times over the past year. The data suggests that only Kharat’s daughter had more frequent interactions with him during this period.

Duration of Communication Raises Questions

Social activist Anjali Damania, who shared details of the call records publicly, claimed that the total duration of conversations between Chakankar and Kharat exceeded 33,000 seconds. When calculated, this amounts to approximately 9 hours and 36 minutes of communication over the year.

Damania also alleged that Chakankar’s sister made 236 calls to Kharat, adding another layer to the pattern of repeated contact revealed through the records.

Other Leaders Also Named in Records

The call logs further show that Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had 17 recorded interactions with Kharat within the same timeframe. According to the data, 10 of these were incoming calls, while seven were outgoing. The longest recorded conversation between the two reportedly lasted over 20 minutes.

In addition, names of other political figures, including Deepak Kesarkar, Sunil Tatkare, and Ashish Shelar, have surfaced in connection with the communication records. It is also reported that Chandrakant Patil and Sunil Tatkare each contacted Kharat eight times during the period under review.

Public Reaction and Awaited Responses

The revelations have triggered widespread discussion, particularly on social media platforms where images showing various नेताओं with Kharat have been widely circulated. However, the political leaders whose names have appeared in the records have not yet issued public statements regarding the matter.

Investigators have not indicated whether these contacts are directly related to the allegations against Kharat or if they represent routine or unrelated interactions. Authorities continue to examine the evidence as part of the broader inquiry.

The case remains under active investigation, with officials focusing on both the criminal allegations and the wider network of connections that has come to light through digital records.
