Reform –  Prime Minister Narendra Modi led tributes on Thursday to Mahatma Jyotirao Phule on his birth anniversary, marking the beginning of the 200th year commemorations of the iconic social reformer whose ideas reshaped India’s approach to equality and education.

In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister described Phule as a forward-thinking reformer who devoted his life to building a more just and inclusive society. The Prime Minister also emphasized that the bicentenary year adds special significance to this occasion, encouraging citizens to reflect on Phule’s teachings and apply them in modern society. In a separate blog post, the Prime Minister elaborated on Phule’s contributions, describing him as a beacon of hope whose work transformed the lives of many.
