Ramdev : Urges National Unity and Indigenous Path Amid Global Uncertainty
Ramdev : Yoga guru Ramdev on Tuesday warned that hostile elements targeting India were becoming more active across the region and urged the country to strengthen itself across multiple fronts. Speaking against the backdrop of what he described as a tense international climate, he stressed the importance of national unity and a renewed commitment to India’s cultural and spiritual traditions.

Concerns Over Regional and Global Developments
Ramdev said forces opposed to India were “raising their heads” in neighbouring countries, including Pakistan and Bangladesh, and cautioned that such developments could not be viewed in isolation. Referring to recent international trade and diplomatic tensions, he said the global environment was entering a risky phase, requiring India to act with clarity and confidence. According to him, periods of global instability make it even more important for nations to consolidate their internal strengths.
Call for an Indigenous Way of Life
Emphasising self-reliance, Ramdev advocated what he described as an indigenous Sanatana way of life. He argued that India’s long-term stability and progress depended on embracing homegrown systems of education, healthcare, and social organisation. He said a return to indigenous values would help build a society that is healthier, more disciplined, and better aligned with its cultural roots.
Focus on Education, Health, and Self-Reliance
In his remarks, Ramdev criticised colonial-era influences on India’s education system and called for alternatives rooted in Indian knowledge traditions. He urged citizens to support indigenous education and medicine, saying these systems could play a vital role in national development. He also appealed to people to adopt Swadeshi, encouraging the use of locally made products as a way to strengthen the domestic economy and reduce dependence on foreign systems.
Vision of India as a Global Power
Ramdev outlined an ambitious vision of India emerging as a leading force economically, militarily, politically, socially, and spiritually. He said such comprehensive strength would allow India not only to safeguard its own interests but also to serve as a source of inspiration for other nations. According to him, true global leadership would come from balancing material progress with moral and spiritual values.
Appeal for Unity Across Society
A significant part of his address focused on social harmony. Ramdev called on religious leaders, saints, and spiritual institutions to work together and avoid internal disagreements. He also urged unity beyond religious circles, asking citizens to rise above divisions based on caste, class, language, or region. He said internal discord weakens the nation and distracts from larger collective goals.
Strength and National Security
Highlighting the link between national strength and citizen safety, Ramdev pointed to Israel as an example of a country that ensures security through decisive strength. He argued that a strong India would deter threats and prevent atrocities against its people. According to him, weakness invites repeated crises, while strength creates stability and respect on the global stage.
Message to Citizens
Concluding his remarks, Ramdev appealed to citizens to see themselves as part of one national family. He said safeguarding India’s future required shared responsibility, discipline, and a common commitment to national ideals. By strengthening internal unity and focusing on indigenous development, he said, India could better respond to external challenges and move toward long-term prosperity.
