The collision happened late Tuesday night. Many people were buried under the seats and twisted metal, making the rescue effort very challenging, according to locals.

Three individuals passed away immediately, and the wounded bus conductor passed away on Wednesday morning in Jaipur while receiving treatment.

Mayank, a bus passenger, Kamlesh, the driver, and an unnamed individual were among those slain. Conductor Mitesh, who was sent to Jaipur in serious condition from SK Hospital in Sikar, also passed away.

All of the travelers were from Valsad, Gujarat, and were on their way back to Khatu Shyamji from Vaishno Devi.

There were around fifty persons on board. Witnesses said that the vehicle was coming from Jhunjhunu toward Bikaner, while the sleeper bus was heading from Bikaner toward Jaipur.

The bus’s structure was damaged by the tremendous force caused by the two cars colliding head-on.

The most seriously injured passengers were those sitting in the cabin and in close proximity, since they were pierced by glass shards and pieces of metal. Passengers who were stranded were rescued from the wreckage by police and locals in a flash. The wounded were taken to neighboring hospitals by many ambulances.

Later, a crane was used to remove the damaged bus in order to clear the roadway.

“I got the call on Tuesday night, and there were screams all over the place,” said Bhim Singh, an ambulance driver and one of the first responders. We called the 108 ambulance service right away. We rescued stranded travelers and took them to the government hospital in Fatehpur with the assistance of locals.

In addition to confirming the death toll, Sikar Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Tejpal Singh said that 15 passengers had been transferred to Sikar for advanced care due to significant injuries. Two or three of the wounded are in serious condition, according to authorities.

Rescue and medical response personnel moved the wounded to hospitals quickly, Singh added.
