Leadership Style Highlighted by Union Minister

Separately, Union Minister Piyush Goyal recently spoke about Prime Minister Modi’s leadership approach during an address at a major economic summit in Mumbai. He described the Prime Minister as a leader who prioritises collaboration and encourages independent thinking within his team.

Goyal emphasised that Modi’s working style involves careful listening and patience. According to the minister, the Prime Minister maintains a calm demeanour and supports his colleagues through mentorship rather than authority. He added that this approach helps build confidence among team members and fosters a cooperative working environment.

The minister also pointed out that Modi’s ability to stay attentive and focused during discussions contributes to effective decision-making. He described the Prime Minister as someone who guides his team while allowing space for diverse ideas.

Emphasis on Economic Diplomacy

During the same event, Piyush Goyal outlined India’s broader strategy on economic diplomacy, stressing the importance of trust and engagement in international trade relations. He said that maintaining close communication with stakeholders is key to achieving long-term economic goals.

Goyal explained that India’s approach is centred on expanding trade opportunities, attracting investment, and gaining access to advanced technologies. He also highlighted efforts to create global opportunities for Indian businesses and young professionals.

According to the minister, India has recently concluded several trade agreements within a relatively short period, many of which had been under negotiation for years. He credited this progress to a strategy built on mutual trust and consistent engagement with international partners.

Long-Term Economic Vision

Looking ahead, Goyal reiterated India’s ambition to grow into a USD 30–35 trillion economy by 2047. He said this vision is supported by policies aimed at strengthening global partnerships and enhancing the country’s economic position.

He concluded by underlining the role of trust in diplomacy, stating that building confidence between nations makes negotiations smoother and more productive. According to him, mutual respect and reliability are essential for achieving sustainable agreements.

The recent interaction between Varun Gandhi and Prime Minister Modi, along with remarks from senior government leaders, reflects ongoing discussions around leadership style and India’s evolving political and economic priorities.
