Odisha: A fight at the home of an ex-BJD lawmaker in resulted in many injuries
Odisha: A political altercation in the Dharmasala region of the Jajpur district of Odisha on Sunday at Panturi, which is under the jurisdiction of Jenapur police, left many people seriously injured.

On Sunday afternoon, there was violence at the farmhouse of prominent BJD politician and former Dharmasala MLA Pranab Kumar Balabantaray.
According to sources, the altercation happened between the current Dharmasala MLA and Balabantaray’s supporters.
Speaking to reporters, Balabantaray said that the assault was carried out by Independent Dharmasala MLA’s followers when between thirty and forty of them were enjoying a feast at his farmhouse.
Meanwhile, during the altercation between the supporters of former MLA Balabantaray and Dharmasala MLA, around a dozen vehicles, including automobiles and motorbikes parked at the farmhouse, were also destroyed.
“The Dharmasala MLA’s supporters unexpectedly stormed into my home, attacked people, and went on a rampage, looting homes and cars as BJD employees were eating lunch after a meeting. They also damaged the cell phones of those who were filming the hooliganism. Over 20 cars sustained damage. More than 20 people are now receiving treatment at the nearby Community Health Center, and four badly wounded individuals have been sent to Cuttack,” Balabantaray said.
Additionally, he said that the Dharmasala region has seen an increase in violence and lawlessness as a result of ongoing police indifference.
Two complaints from opposing organizations have led to the registration of two distinct suits.
Additionally, the event has been the subject of an inquiry, according to local police authorities.
However, no arrests have been made in this instance by the police.
In the meanwhile, a number of BJD leaders, including Balabantaray and his followers, held a sit-in demonstration in front of the DGP Camp office in Bhubaneswar, calling for swift and severe punishment for the alleged criminals.
A mob allegedly supporting Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahoo assaulted Balabantaray in April of this year.
Despite the fact that his vehicle sustained damage during the encounter, Balabantaray managed to escape unharmed.
