Injuries Reported Near Industrial Zone

The incident occurred in the vicinity of the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi, a major industrial and logistics hub. Officials stated that debris from a missile, which had been successfully intercepted by the country’s air defence system, landed in the area, leading to injuries among workers present nearby.

According to a statement shared by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, emergency teams responded swiftly to the situation. The five injured individuals, all Indian nationals, were treated promptly, and their conditions were reported to be stable. The authorities did not indicate any further casualties linked to this specific event.

Authorities Urge Public Caution

In the aftermath of the incident, officials called on residents to rely only on verified information released through official channels. They warned against spreading unconfirmed reports or speculation, emphasizing the importance of maintaining calm and ensuring accurate communication during such situations.

The statement highlighted that relevant departments were actively managing the situation and taking necessary safety measures to prevent further risks. Public cooperation, authorities noted, remains essential in maintaining order and ensuring emergency responses are effective.

Fire Incidents Linked to Falling Debris

Earlier reports indicated that two separate fire incidents broke out in the same area due to falling missile fragments. Emergency services were deployed immediately, and both fires were brought under control without escalation.

Officials clarified that these fires were a direct result of debris generated after the missile interception. The UAE’s air defence systems successfully neutralized the threat before it could cause larger-scale damage, though scattered fragments still posed localized risks.

Previous Incident Resulted in Fatalities

This development comes shortly after a similar incident earlier in the week that resulted in casualties. On Thursday, debris from intercepted missiles fell on a public street, leading to the deaths of two individuals.

Among those who lost their lives was an Indian national, while the other victim was reported to be a Pakistani citizen. In addition, three individuals were injured in that earlier incident, including another Indian national.

Indian Embassy Responds

Following the fatal incident, the Indian Embassy in the UAE expressed condolences to the family of the deceased. Officials confirmed that they are in close coordination with UAE authorities to provide assistance and support to those affected.

The embassy also reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of Indian nationals residing in the region. Efforts are ongoing to monitor the situation and offer help wherever needed.

Continued Vigilance and Safety Measures

Authorities in the UAE continue to monitor developments closely, especially in areas where debris may pose a risk. Emergency response systems remain on alert, and residents have been advised to follow official guidance at all times.

While the air defence system successfully intercepted the missile threat, officials acknowledged that falling debris can still lead to unintended consequences. As a result, precautionary measures and rapid response protocols are being reinforced.

The situation underscores the importance of preparedness and coordinated response efforts in managing security incidents. Officials have assured the public that all necessary steps are being taken to safeguard residents and minimize risks.
