Tribute to Fallen Special Forces Soldier
The ongoing operation has also seen the loss of a soldier in the line of duty. On January 19, the Army paid last respects to Havildar Gajendra Singh, a member of the Special Forces, who was killed during a counter-terrorism encounter in the Singhpora area of Chatroo in Kishtwar district.
Havildar Singh lost his life while carrying out an operational task during the intervening night of January 18 and 19. Senior officers and fellow soldiers attended the tribute ceremony, honoring his service and sacrifice.
