Kangana Ranaut : calls the Congress “deeply hurtful” after offensive remarks were made against PM Modi
Kangana Ranaut : responded on Monday to the offensive chants purportedly spoken against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a Congress rally, saying that it is very offensive and intolerable to wish for someone’s death or to use such language.

Following the Congress party’s “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod” event, which was conducted on Sunday at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, the dispute broke out. The BJP harshly criticized a number of videos that appeared on social media that showed some Congress activists shouting inflammatory chants like “Modi teri kabar khudegi” as they made their way to the rally site.
Kangana Ranaut strongly disapproved of the rhetoric used against the Prime Minister when speaking to media outside Parliament.
“It is really painful to raise such slogans or wish for someone’s death. The rhetoric used against Prime Minister Modi hurts us and the country as a whole,” she remarked.
Political disagreements shouldn’t turn into personal assaults, she said.
“Politics does not imply that we become adversaries just because our views diverge. Raising such slogans or wishing for someone’s death is wrong and very hurtful. The BJP MP said, “This hurts the entire country.”
“140 crore people have chosen Prime Minister Modi,” Ranaut remarked, highlighting the popularity of the leader. He is among the nation’s most adored leaders. His assistance is not only for those in India but also for those beyond. Such comments cause us great pain.
She said that it is detrimental to democracy and society if political debate has escalated to this degree.
“While disagreements are inevitable in politics, this type of language diminishes the honor of public discourse and ought to be strongly denounced,” she said.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a Congress MP, confirmed that no one on stage made any such comments.
Speaking to reporters outside of Parliament, Priyanka Gandhi denied the accusations and questioned why the BJP brought up the matter at the meeting.
“We were debating who said this in reality. Nothing like it was spoken by anybody on stage. It is still unclear who made the comment, but we later learned that it may have been said by a member of the audience or a staff member,” she added.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju called on the party leadership to issue a public apology in Parliament on Monday after denouncing the offensive chants spoken against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a Congress rally.
“The world and the people of our 1.4 billion-strong nation recognize Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the leader of the world’s largest democracy,” Rijiju told reporters. If some opposition members want his murder, it is really terrible. Denial alone is insufficient.
“The nation should get an apology from the President of the Congress and the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament. In my opinion, the Congress Party should not wait to publicly apologize to the nation’s citizens on the floor of Parliament if they have any compassion or regard for the country and society. Then and only then will we realize that the Congress Party made a mistake and has admitted it,” he said.
In addition, the Lok Sabha was postponed when the Treasury benches brought up the subject of disparaging Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest demonstration for the Congress on the ‘vote chori’.
