Shikha, a local resident, shared how closely her daily routine was tied to the bridge. Every morning, she would use it to take her young son to school in Roop Nagar. On the day of the incident, she had crossed it as usual while dropping him off. It was only later, when she returned to pick him up, that she learned about the collapse.

She explained that the bridge helped save nearly 15 to 20 minutes of travel time each day. Its absence has now made commuting more difficult, especially for parents managing school schedules and work commitments.

He demanded an ex-gratia payment of Rs 50 lakh, stating that such incidents reflect a broader issue of neglected civic infrastructure. According to him, cases involving accidents caused by damaged roads, open drains, and poor maintenance have become increasingly common.

Yadav criticized the administration for not taking adequate steps to repair and maintain public structures, arguing that timely action could prevent such incidents and ensure public safety.
