IMD Weather: North India, including Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, is experiencing extreme cold. For Thursday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave advisory for a number of states. The current weather in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh is chilly and dry, with morning fog and mist. In some parts of these states, a cold wave alarm has been issued.

Weather in Delhi NCR

Thursday is predicted to be a cool day in Delhi-NCR, with mild to moderate fog and mist in the morning. Most of the day will be bright and clear. It is anticipated that the temperature will be between 23 to 24 degrees Celsius at its highest and 8 to 10 degrees Celsius at its lowest.

Too Much Fog In these states

In several eastern regions of India, dense fog is anticipated. Haryana and Punjab had very chilly temperatures, with Adampur in Punjab registering a low of 2.8 degrees Celsius.

For the next two days, these regions will continue to experience cold wave conditions, according to an IMD warning. In the morning, Rajasthan is predicted to see partly overcast, hazy sky with mild breezes. Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh are expected to see fog.

Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir The weather

These hilly regions have minimum temperatures of less than 5 degrees Celsius, and recent snowfall at several higher altitudes has sent chilly winds to the lowlands. Frost is predicted in some places, and the weather will continue to be chilly. Several regions of Madhya Pradesh have seen temperatures fall below 10 degrees Celsius. A cold wave notice has been issued by IMD for the next two days.

Weather in South India

Over the last 24 hours, coastal Tamil Nadu has had mild to moderate rain. Over the course of the next 24 hours, Tamil Nadu and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands may get mild to moderate rain. Over the interior of Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep, light rain is also likely. In certain areas of Northeast India, dense fog may form.
