Goa Club Fire: A Goa Club fire survivor accuses staff of being careless, leaving people behind while attempting to save equipment, and refuses to accept compensation
Goa Club Fire: The Goa club fire, which killed at least 25 people and seriously wounded others, trapped a family of five vacationers from Delhi. The only survivor, Bhawana Joshi, has allegedly accused the club administration of incompetence, despite the fact that four of them perished in the tragedy. Joshi said that there was a hurry because one of the doors was not opening and that the evacuation procedure was not methodical. She said that there was not a suitable area for the evacuation and that the officials ignored the persons attempting to flee. In the terrible event, Joshi lost her husband as well as her three sisters, Anita, Saroj, and Kamla.
According to Joshi, the crew neglected the visitors while attempting to rescue the lead dancer and equipment, according to the Times of India. She said that the lack of space caused mayhem and that it took the fire department about forty minutes to reach the scene. Joshi said that the action against the case’s main suspects, the Luthra brothers, was justified.
She went on to say that the compensation was just being paid for “formality” and that the family’s earning members perished in the tragedy. “I told them that I no longer even want the money since it seems like a formality, as if they are using it to buy our quiet. Joshi was reported by TOI as stating, “It feels like they are making me beg for it; I don’t want such alms.”
“How am I going to handle this sum? Those who were making money are no longer there. “I would prefer to accept a job,” she continued. Four of the family members allegedly perished from asphyxia during their first vacation to Goa.
